Our parent Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
This is a meeting for parents only. Please arrive before 7:00 to pick up your folder. We
will discuss policies, pass out information, and introduce the staff. You will be able to go
to your child’s classroom to meet the teachers. Your information packet and evening
schedule will be available for pickup in the new Welcome Center on the east side of the
building. Please remember to bring any completed forms with you this evening. |

Our Ice Cream Social, which includes an Art Show and Raffle, is typically held during March.

The Art Show takes place throughout the building with several pieces of each student's artwork showcased in various locations throughout the hallways.

One of the highlights of the Ice Cream Social is our Annual Raffle.

Since an important part of Salem Methodist Preschool for the four and five year olds is exposure to many varied experiences within the community, a number of field trips are built into the school year. Some examples from previous years include:
- Crab Tree Nature Center
- Pumpkin Farms
- Library
- Fire Department
Parents are asked to sign a permission form to allow a child's participation in these adventures. Parents are welcome to volunteer as chaperones for these outings. |

- The Science Fair is typically held during March in the Fellowship Hall.
- All families are invited to attend for lunch and lots of scientific experimenting!
- Adults and children actively participate in a series of themed science stations that are run by the Salem Preschool Faculty.
- Children will receive a special certificate of participation at the end of the Science Fair.
