TWO YEAR OLD CLASSES
This class is designed for children who are two years old by September 1, 2010. This group attends Preschool from 9:00 – 11:30. Classes are offered on Mon/Wed, Tues/Thurs OR Friday. Each classroom has 8 children with a teacher and a floating aide.
THREE YEAR OLD CLASSES
THREE’S students must be three years old by September 1, 2010, in order to enroll for this class. In addition, all students MUST be potty trained by the time school begins. Classes run from 9:00 – 11:30 on Mon/Wed/Fri OR Tues/Thurs, and from 12:30 – 3:00 on Mon/Wed/Fri. Each classroom has 16-17 children enrolled with 2 teachers.
PRE-FOUR’S class is offered Mon/Wed/Fri OR Tues/Thurs from 9:00-11:30. Students must be three years old by September 1, 2010 and turn four in the fall/early winter along with teacher recommendation. This classroom has 8-10 children enrolled with a teacher and a floating aide.
FOUR YEAR OLD CLASSES
FOUR’S students must be four years old by September 1, 2010, in order to enroll for this class. Classes run from 9:00 – 11:30 on Mon/Wed/Fri OR Tues/Thurs, and from 12:30 – 3:00 on Mon/Wed/Fri. Each classroom has 16-20 children enrolled with 2 or 3 teachers.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN class is designed for children who are also four years of age and turning five in the fall/early winter along with teacher recommendation. Class runs from 9:00 – 11:30 am or 12:30 – 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. The classroom has 16-20 children enrolled with 2 or 3 teachers.
SCIENCE DISCOVERY CLASS
Four-Year-Old Science Discovery
This enrichment program is designed for children aged four years old by September 1, 2010. The program is offered Tuesday, Thursday OR Friday (one day/week program) from 9:00 – 11:30 and Wednesday afternoon from 12:30-3:00 pm. Enrollment is limited to 10 children per class.
Kindergarten Science Discovery – NEW CURRICULUM
This enrichment program is designed for children aged FIVE years old by September 1, 2010 and enrolled in a Kindergarten program. The program is offered Monday OR Wednesday (one day/week program) from 9:00 – 11:30 and Tuesday or Friday afternoons from 12:30-3:00 pm. Enrollment is limited to 10 children per class.
STAY ‘N PLAY
Stay ‘N Play is an extended day program offered for children enrolled in the 3’s, Pre 4’s, 4’s, Pre-K, Discovery and Kgtn Discovery classes. The program is offered at least two days per week from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. Registration is separate from the regular classroom program and takes place on a monthly basis. Individual dates are listed prior to registration. The parents provide a nutritious lunch and drink.
NEW FOR 2010-2011! - ARTSMART
Artsmart will be offered as a yearlong enrichment program for 3’s, Pre 4’s, 4’s, Pre K and Kindergarten students. The class will be 1 ½ hours long one time per week for the 3-5 year olds and 2 ½ hours long one time per week for Kindergarten aged students.

- Our objective is that each child will be able to accomplish the following tasks during the course of the year:
- follow simple directions
- imitate play of others
- listen to simple stories and songs
- repeat parts of songs, rhymes, and finger plays
- verbalize wants
- help put things away in the classroom
- Our classes exposes children to crayons, paint & paint brushes, scissors, and markers.
- As with all of our classes, we stress the importance of learning and practicing social skills.

- Tues/Thurs from 9:00-11:30 AM
- Each classroom has 16-17 children with two teachers.
- Our objective is that each child will be able to accomplish the following tasks during the course of the year:
- follow one or two step directions
- work together - gearing toward cooperative play ( three or more children )
- listen to stories and songs
- repeat parts of songs, rhymes, and finger plays
- sit in a group
- use eye contact
- use words to express feelings to teachers and classmates
- share
- dress self for outdoor play
- We introduce the child to the proper way of holding a pencil, crayons, paint brush, scissors and other tools.
- We do not expect mastery, but we do encourage the proper handling of these tools.
- As with all of our classes, we stress the importance of learning and practicing social skills.

Pre-Four Year Old Classes... |

- independent living skills - such as pouring, sweeping, and dressing self for
- outdoors
- social skills
- vocabulary
- cooperation
- forms of negotiation
- In preparation for the 4's program we include:
- problem solving
- following multi-step directions
- pre-reading activities
- word recognition
- pre-math activities
- pre-writing activities

- Discovery Kids will learn that science is a way of finding answers to our questions.
