• This enrichment program is designed for children who are five years old by September 1, 2010.
• This is a one day a week program offered on Monday or Wednesday mornings from 9 - 11:30, or on Tuesday or Friday afternoons from 12:30-3:00 pm.
• Enrollment is limited to 10 children per class.
• Kindergarten children are welcome!
• The Discovery Day program is designed for young children as a way to stimulate an interest in science.
• Discovery Kids will learn that science is a way of finding answers to our questions.
• They will learn a simplified version of the scientific method -
  • What is the question?
  • How can we find the answer?
  • What do we think will happen?
  • Test our guesses.
  • Share what we have learned with our friends.
• Discovery Kids will learn science skills -
  • observing
  • classifying
  • sorting
  • measuring
  • using numbers
  • communicating what we have learned with words, art, song, and games
